Terms of Service
Last updated: 24 May 2026
Welcome to Bindercle. These Terms govern your use of the Bindercle mobile app, website, and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using Bindercle, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. Who we are
Bindercle is operated by a solo developer based in Singapore. References to "we," "us," and "Bindercle" mean that operator.
2. Your account
You sign in to Bindercle using Apple Sign In or Google. By doing so:
- You confirm you are at least 13 years old. The App Store rating is 12+ but the legal floor for account creation is 13 (COPPA in the US, similar elsewhere).
- You're responsible for activity on your account. Don't share access. If you lose access to your sign-in provider, contact pika@bindercle.app.
- You agree to provide accurate profile info (handle, display name, etc.).
3. Your content
Bindercle is a place for you to show your card collection. The binders, pages, cards, photos, captions, comments, and tags you create are your content. You own it.
To make the app work — to display your public binders to other users, to power the discover feed, etc. — you grant Bindercle a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for storage/display purposes only — e.g., resizing thumbnails), and display your content within the Service. This license ends when you delete the content or delete your account.
You're responsible for what you post. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share. Card photos you took yourself are yours. Card art owned by The Pokémon Company is theirs — we use it under what we believe is fair use (transformative cataloging + collector reference) and you should too.
4. What's not allowed
You agree not to use Bindercle to:
- Post sexually explicit, hateful, harassing, threatening, or violent content.
- Impersonate another person, brand, or organization.
- Post spam, scams, phishing attempts, or unauthorized commercial promotions.
- Sell or solicit transactions for cards, services, or anything else through the app. Bindercle is a showcase, not a marketplace.
- Upload malware, viruses, or attempt to disrupt the Service.
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service except as expressly permitted by us in writing.
- Reverse-engineer the app or attempt to bypass security/access controls.
- Violate any law or third-party rights (including intellectual property and privacy rights).
5. Reporting + moderation
If you see content that violates these Terms, please report it from within the app (the report button on binders, comments, and user profiles). We review reports daily and take action — content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban — within 24 hours.
You can also block other users at any time. A block is bidirectional: the blocked user can no longer see your content, comment on your binders, follow you, or like/save your work, and vice versa.
6. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. This is immediate and irreversible.
We can suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, post content that violates them, or otherwise create risk for the Service or its users. We'll usually warn first; for serious violations we may act without warning.
7. Service availability
Bindercle is offered "as is" and "as available." We don't guarantee uptime. We may add, change, or remove features. We may take the Service offline for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We'll do our best to give notice when we can.
8. Pricing
Bindercle is currently free. If we introduce paid features in the future (a "Plus" tier or similar), the price and what's included will be disclosed before purchase. Free features that exist today will remain free for users who signed up before the paid tier launched, unless the price change is clearly announced in advance.
9. Intellectual property
The Bindercle name, logo, app design, and code are ours. You can use the app under these Terms. You can't copy our design or rebrand the app without permission.
Pokemon, Magic the Gathering, and other Trading Card Game brand names, logos, and card art belong to their respective owners. Bindercle is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Wizards of the Coast, or any other TCG publisher.
10. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bindercle is provided WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that any specific cards or features will be available, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that your data will be safe from loss (though we work hard to keep it safe).
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Bindercle (or its operator) be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) one hundred Singapore dollars (SGD 100).
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify Bindercle against any claim, demand, loss, or damages arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that can't be resolved by writing to us first will be brought exclusively in the courts of Singapore. You and Bindercle each waive any right to a jury trial.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We'll announce material changes in-app and the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the new version. Continued use of Bindercle after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
